Simply put, we wanted to change the way people watch television. Taking the idea that most people now watch TV shows with a second screen nearby (be that a laptop, a smart phone, tablet, etc.), we found ways to engage the audience more deeply in the show they were watching by providing focused content that folded their second screen experience directly back into their first screen experience by 1.) giving the viewer a way to personalize what they were watching through quizzes and polls 2.) encouraging them to share quotes from the show on social media using fun hashtags and 3.) inviting the user to journey down a show-specific rabbit hole by linking to trivia, actors' IMDB pages, etc.
